Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 12, 2026

Our Commitment

The Center for Software Excellence is committed to making its website usable by everyone, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What We Do

  • Semantic structure: pages use meaningful HTML5 landmarks (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>) and a single, logical <h1> per page.
  • Keyboard navigation: a visible "Skip to main content" link, logical tab order, and visible focus indicators throughout.
  • Screen readers: descriptive alternative text for all images, labeled form fields, and ARIA where needed.
  • Contrast & typography: color combinations meet contrast requirements, and text remains resizable without loss of content.
  • Reduced motion: animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion system setting.

Known Limitations

Some third-party content — such as embedded media or externally hosted tools — may not fully meet these standards. We work with providers to improve conformance as it becomes available.

Feedback & Reporting Barriers

We welcome feedback. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us so we can fix it:

We respond to accessibility feedback within five business days and prioritize fixes based on severity.

Enforcement & Continuous Improvement

We review our site against WCAG 2.1 AA on an ongoing basis, test with assistive technologies, and train contributors on accessible content practices.
